Saturday Daytime

Do we have a smorgasbord of delights for you?! er...yes. Yes we do.

8.30pm  -Mo-So-cial! St. Vincent's CMS Club, Solly Street

It's only the flippin' Lindy Hop Sheffield Movember special!!!

Come down, admire the facial furniture and STFO all night long (til midnight).

Special treats for anyone who wears a moustache anywhere (appropriately) visible!

QUIZES! SURPRISES! And other such life-enhancing events.

During the day we have a variety of options to showcase our Green City and as the daylight fades we will be taking you to a hairy-lipped hop at St. Vincent's CMS club.

The day time activities all start at the rather special Nichols Building, where some of the LHS monkeys will have the arduous job of hanging out all afternoon to meet you, greet you, and point you towards nice things. The Nichols building can be found on our venue map HERE

Pass through the old warehouse full of vintage treasures to dance in the Ecco dance studio on the top floor, then social dance, shop and drink hot chocolate to your heart’s delight.

The Nichols Building is open from 11am for shopping and has a lovely little cafe to relax in for brunch - pick a vintage record and play whilst you relax.

If you're lost and looking for someone LHS-y between 1pm and 3pm, go to the cafe on the first floor. If you take a bit longer to get lost and are looking for someone LHS-y after 3, keep going up the stairs until you get to the ECCO studio.

1pm Meet at the Nichols building for a guided walk either to the beautiful Rivelin Valley or if it is raining the beautiful and dry winter gardens. Your delightful guides will be waiting for you in the cafe.

There are also 4 self-guided trails for those of you wanting to explore Sheffield a little more on your own. Click HERE

3pm  -  For those of you beginning your Lindy-Hop journey we have a workshop with the original progenitor of swing dancing in the north of England; Sue Freeman. Sue’s class takes place in the ECCO dance studio.

For those of you further down Lindy Boulevard (or in the break in the workshop) we have lined up some other delights...

You will find creative vintage hairstyling wonderment in the room next to the ECCO studio.

Get yourself all glammed up and then maybe your photo taken by the amazing Gordie from Source Photography (www.sourcephotography.co.uk). His talent at capturing a posed or mid dance move moment in vintage style will leave you in a state of pleased wonderment.

Gordie has offered us dancers a free walk in photo shoot and 20% off his normal rate for prints. And he's proper lovely.

There will be a selection of pretty frocks available for dress up (albeit in limited sizes) but if you want to wear something special please feel free to bring it along.

Saturday Evening Social

Get your Mo' on and swing on down to Solly Street

And after the show; it's the after-party!

Its the freakin weekend baby! So we are stayin up late!

Head on over to the ludicrously close Red House (still on Solly Street) where we will be partying Sheffield-style until 3am!

Shake n Break are celebrating the future of Swing music!

Expect Electro Swing, Glitch Swing, Tech Swing, Swing n Bass, Ghetto-Funk and all other crazy hybrids of this nature.

The line up (once we get there) includes PocketSizeDave (Toil Soundsystem, Collect!) and FunkleBuck (Nelly Roger Party Krew), with maybe a teeny smidge of Just A Gigolo (Hangman Soundsystem/Pangaea) if we're sharpish out of Solly Street.
