         Culture Vulture  Trail

If you fancy some cutting edge street art, contemporary visual art, or more traditional expressions  then a trip to Sheffield's art galleries is perfect for you.

Graves art gallery is above the 1930's Central Library on Tudor square and just across from the millennium gallery beside the winter gardens. For contemporary art, a short walk brings you to the Site Gallery which showcases modern digital and more traditional visual artwork. Finish off your journey with a trip to Bank Street Arts; Sheffield's punk upstart of an independent gallery featuring contemporary art.

Combined with a trip around some of the City's urban squares and parks, this trail will stimulate the mind and the senses.

To see some of the urban art Sheffield is becoming famous for, check out this map: http://goo.gl/maps/dHavV

All of the galleries have cafe's and we have highlighted some other places to eat in this guide.

Epicurean Delights Trail

A food revolution is taking place is Sheffield; come and see why!

From the Ramsey-tipped Milestone in Kelham Island and their posh big sister, The Wig and Pen on Campo lane, to Award Winning Silversmiths, Independent cinema cafe; The Showroom and local, independent cafes like Fusion Cafe and the Blue Moon, foodies will find that ethical eating is on the ascendancy.

The only thing similar about these establishments other than  their committment to fresh, local, ethically sourced produce, is their quality. All feature high standards and delicious food ranging from simple cafe to fine dining.

Enjoy!

            Shoppers Paradise Trail

Meadowhall may be packed full of people clamouring for the usual chain retailers but those in the know can find unique independent shops in the heart of the England's 5th largest city.

We've highlighted some places to get you started but the best bargains are the ones you find yourself.

Head on over to the Sharrowvale area for some treasures; with the busy Ecclesall road and sedate Sharrowvale road running in parallel and stocking some one-off boutiques.

Closer to the centre of town we have Division street with its independent mall; the forum and some other independent shops opposite Devonshire Green.

For those of you with an eye for the vintage and the individual, pop along to Sheffield's antique quarter where there is sure to be something to pique your interest.

Let's not forget the Nichols building where there will be dancing and shopping galore all day on Saturday (Check Saturday's page for more details).

Craft Beer City Trail

Regularly cited as one of the world's centres for beery indulgence; Sheffield's beer renaissance seems to have no limits. With a string of high class breweries and craft beer pubs and bars opening in the last few  years, Sheffield is firmly on the craft beer connoisseurs map.

It would not be humanly possible to sample beer in every one of Sheffield's amazing ale-y establishments so we'll leave the hard decision up to you and list those that have a soft spot in our mouths.

We'd be remiss if we did not mention the ornate imbibers-treature-trove that is The Sheffield Tap. Go there and marvel. And drink. Marvel and drink.

Kelham island is the epicentre of the Sheffield beer world and home to both the Fat Cat; the original Sheffield ale house, and the Kelham Island Tavern; winner of CAMRA best pub in the UK twice consecutively.  With Shakespeare's, the Riverside pub and the Harlequin there is a ready-made pub crawl right there.

Further afield there are the Devonshire Cat near Division street and the Bath Hotel on Victoria Street both with a large selection of local and international beers.

Check out the G-map for more details and don't forget that our Friday venue, Shakespeare's, has a beer festival!!
